Job Summary

Operate heavy equipment in an open pit mine environment, safely and efficiently performing daily pit and mining tasks. Work in a team with coworkers and managers, follow OSHA/MSHA and company safety procedures, and report issues to your manager. Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with required documentation, perform minor servicing and maintenance, assist training for less-experienced employees, and perform general labor duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment used in pit and mining operations.
•Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and coworkers, including proper backing communication and constant eye contact.
•Follow directions of the foreman for daily tasks and project/job site expectations.
•Perform minor servicing/maintenance, and refer major problems to the foreman.
•Conduct daily pre- and post-inspections with documentation and assist in training less-experienced employees.

Key Requirements

•At least three years of experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., haul truck, motor grader, bulldozer, excavator, front end loader).
•Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
•Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
•Pass a pre-employment “Fit for Work” physical and wear PPE as required.
•Provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document and be at least 18 years old.
