Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the data platform end to end, including ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reliability.
  • •Optimize ingestion pipelines for low-latency data availability and consistent performance during peak seasonal surges.
  • •Build and evolve the data transformation layer so Hazel has clean, predictable data for AI agents.
  • •Advance AI agents that write, build, and test new integrations end-to-end.
  • •Ship new source integrations end to end and automate your own data integrations and transformations.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years building production data infrastructure with real ownership of a warehouse used by others.
  • •Deep understanding of dbt and SQL, including data modeling decisions like grain and incrementality.
  • •Strong Python experience building an ingestion layer in code.
  • •Owned a production orchestrator (Dagster, Airflow, Temporal, Prefect, or equivalent).
  • •AI-native in practice—using coding agents and evaluating where they help or hurt.
