Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in identifying distribution compliance risk changes and their potential impacts on the HSBC Life business model.
  • •Support program implementation to quantify impacts and implement actions to manage and mitigate regulatory change impacts.
  • •Provide compliance advisory for market conduct matters specified to the tied agency and review risk control assessments under the Non-Financial Risk framework.
  • •Assess new initiatives and drive conduct agenda in consultation with the business.
  • •Monitor and track regulatory dissemination and implementation across relevant risk taxonomies, and prepare committee papers including for the Board risk committee.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in insurance industry compliance is preferred; relevant audit backgrounds will be considered.
  • •Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements/expectations including FAA, SFA, Fair Dealing guidelines and related notices for life and health insurance market conduct.
  • •Ability to work with minimal handholding and to deal confidently with business stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • •Self-driven with strong attention to detail, perseverance in meeting goals, and an analytical mindset.
  • •Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
