Job Summary

Support the sales organization across the pre-sales, sales-call, and post-sales phases as a technical partner. Lead technical aspects of the sales cycle from RFIs through RFPs/RFQs, drive and participate in POCs, and act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners. Continuously deepen Fortinet product and competitive knowledge, position solutions remotely or on-site, and manage multiple deals while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical aspects of a sales cycle with customers, from RFIs through RFPs & RFQs, including project management and active participation in POCs.
•Understand and translate customer technical requirements to build solutions that outperform competitors.
•Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners in collaboration with the sales partner.
•Continuously improve knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions and maintain understanding of the competitive landscape and threat landscape.
•Position Fortinet solutions to customers remotely or in person and manage time effectively across multiple deals while maintaining customer experience.

Key Requirements

•High aptitude for security technology, including encryption and authentication, with desirable knowledge of network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN and WAN.
•Experience working across South Africa is a must.
•Currently or previously worked in a pre-sales engineer role, managing end-to-end technical aspects of deals through technical closure.
•Demonstrate problem solving skills and how they impacted key wins.
•Fluency in English is a must.
