Key Responsibilities

  • •Review, approve, and manage supplier APQP, PPAP, and first article inspection submissions, issuing written approvals prior to serial delivery.
  • •Define inspection and acceptance requirements for supplier-manufactured parts, including sampling strategy, methods, acceptance criteria, and incoming inspection plans.
  • •Assess supplier process capability against Cpk requirements for key characteristics and review measurement systems analysis/gauge capability evidence.
  • •Administer material review records, coordinate design-authority disposition, and review concessions/deviation requests; verify 8D corrective action effectiveness.
  • •Coordinate configuration and change management with design and supply chain, maintain approval/traceability records, conduct supplier audits, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Materials or Metrology Engineering.
  • •6+ years of experience in aerospace quality, supplier quality, product quality, or manufacturing engineering.
  • •Authority-level experience reviewing and approving APQP, PPAP (AS9145) and first article inspection (AS9102) packages.
  • •Strong GD&T application, tolerance interpretation, and drawing analysis capability.
  • •Practical metrology competence (e.g., CMM, optical and contact measurement) with measurement systems analysis.
