Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trailers and equipment with little or no supervision.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer systems including brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps, engines, liftgates, brake chambers, and welding/fabrication work.
  • •Document repair work and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings on repair orders using a company iOS device and TRAIT application.
  • •Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner.
  • •Maintain and operate the company-issued service truck, conduct safety checks and daily pre-/post-trip inspections, and independently manage parts inventory and reconciliation.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (Trailers), or equivalent combination including degree/certification beyond HS/GED; or 5 years’ experience.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Participate in and complete all company required training and safety training.
  • •Candidate must successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; must have a current and valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity.
  • •Must hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license and CDL Class C License; be at least 21 years or older.
