Key Responsibilities

  • •Accountable for the design, implementation, and optimization of the flotation metallurgical process and its control philosophies.
  • •Deliver and exceed KPI recovery, concentrate quality, and tails grade through daily to monthly technical support to plant operations.
  • •Monitor, analyze, and report on process performance indicators, including in-plant sampling results and daily operating instructions to shift teams.
  • •Troubleshoot poor plant performance using detailed data analysis (e.g., PI) and identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • •Coordinate field trials and metallurgical test-work, document trials and parameter changes, and supervise subordinate staff development and training programs.

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualification in Extractive Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 10 years working as a metallurgist or in an equivalent leadership role in large, complex metallurgical process operations.
  • •Direct plant experience in technical metallurgist/engineering roles with base metal flotation experience.
  • •Experience with process control systems and process information databases (e.g., PI Process Book) and metallurgical optimization.
  • •Ability to communicate clearly and compile accurate operational performance reports; commitment to SHEC performance.
