Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with cross-functional engineering teams (RF, DSP, Firmware, FPGA, software, Test) to deliver robust embedded processing solutions for communications and networking.
  • •Execute and optimize the FPGA firmware implementation lifecycle from algorithms in Matlab/Simulink and requirements definition through architecture, design, development, test, integration, support, and sustainment.
  • •Establish and optimize product development workflows and best practices across the HDL firmware lifecycle, including simulation, verification, and system testing.
  • •Develop microProcessor ICDs between FPGA and message/data handling schemes.
  • •Support FPGA-based system development by integrating and testing firmware implementations on low-cost FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • •Experience working with cross-functional hardware and/or embedded product development teams, taking firmware and software from concept to production.
  • •6+ years designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA-based systems using VHDL or Verilog.
  • •Experience using code-generators to translate MATLAB/Simulink algorithms into FPGA implementations.
  • •Proficiency with C and C++ and familiarity with RTOS and common interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB).
