Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with your Buying Manager and internal teams to develop and source high-performing upholstery assortments, including brand positioning, price structure, and margins.
  • •Make accountable assortment decisions covering development, sourcing, season trading, volume decisions, commercial terms, and product lifecycle in collaboration with merchandising and suppliers.
  • •Ensure commercial success through range planning and agile in-season trading, including KPIs and monthly balance-to-achieve proposals.
  • •Develop and maintain expert category market knowledge to predict market dynamics and support strategic product decisions.
  • •Build and maintain supplier relationships, lead commercial negotiations (including marketing funds), and task-manage/coach Buying Assistants with guidance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 34,000 - 51,100 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive product development and brand management experience, with a strong focus on upholstery.
  • •Proven retail experience in buying, category management, or product management, including buying practices, merchandising strategies, and supplier negotiations.
  • •Strong negotiation skills leading strategic commercial negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable terms.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • •Category-specific knowledge or experience (desirable).
