Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead chassis system assembly operations at the plant, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheels/tires, subframe marriage, and spring/damper/air suspension assembly, while meeting safety, quality, throughput, and cost objectives.
  • •Own joint tightening and fastening integrity by resolving torque-controlled assembly issues and improving torque traceability, tool capability, process controls, and fastener accessibility.
  • •Serve as technical lead for front/rear wheel alignment and vehicle geometry, establishing alignment specifications and process controls, optimizing alignment stations, and reducing alignment variability.
  • •Serve as technical owner for wheel/tire installation quality and end-of-line validation activities, ensuring performance, geometry, handling, and customer satisfaction targets are met.
  • •Provide sustaining engineering after launch by designing and developing chassis components/assemblies, supporting part release and corrective actions, and coordinating cross-functional work across engineering, manufacturing, quality, controls, suppliers, and plant operations.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of automotive engineering experience with exposure to vehicle dynamics, wheel alignment, manufacturing engineering, chassis integration, quality engineering, or vehicle launch support.
  • •Strong knowledge of wheel alignment theory, tire behavior, steering systems, chassis fastening systems, vehicle handling fundamentals, GD&T, root cause analysis, DFMEA/PFMEA, and statistical process control.
  • •Hands-on troubleshooting skills for manufacturing and process issues impacting assembly and alignment outcomes.
  • •Experience with 3D CAD systems such as CATIA (or similar) and design release engineering with engineering change management.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
