Job Summary

Provide engine and compressor station/process plant equipment analysis to improve efficiency and reliability while meeting safety, regulatory, and tariff requirements. Perform performance and maintenance analysis, vibration testing and data analysis, portable emissions testing, and green house gas surveys/leak detection. Support corrective actions, reliability monitoring, equipment failure analysis, documentation, and technical assistance, including support for start-up and commissioning of new compressor equipment.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct routine engine and compressor performance and maintenance analysis.
•Perform periodic portable emissions testing and support environmental concern identification/correction.
•Run routine vibration testing and data analysis to support an ongoing vibration mitigation program.
•Complete Green House Gas surveys, leak detection, and reporting; perform testing to establish/correct performance and control system coefficients.
•Provide corrective actions for operational problems, monitor mechanical system reliability, assist with failure analysis, and support start-up/commissioning of new compressor station equipment.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Associates degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
•Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn equipment-specific data acquisition applications.
•Solid math skills and strong mechanical aptitude.
•Working knowledge and experience with electronic equipment, reciprocating/gas turbine engines, electric motors, and reciprocating/centrifugal compressors.
•Working knowledge of vibration testing and other predictive technologies, portable emissions testing, and route-based data collection tools (e.g., Dynalco Recip-Trap/Windrock, CSI/SKF, Ecom/Testo).
