Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct on-site and virtual property risk control surveys and assessments for commercial and complex property accounts nationwide.
  • •Evaluate property exposures, including construction, occupancy, protection, exposure (COPE), and natural catastrophe risks.
  • •Assess fire protection systems, life safety features, building construction, and impairment management practices.
  • •Identify deficiencies in property maintenance, emergency preparedness, and loss prevention controls, and create improvement recommendations.
  • •Prepare property risk control reports and support brokerage renewal strategy and underwriting support while collaborating with producers, account managers, and carrier partners.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of experience in property risk control / risk engineering with a property & casualty insurance carrier, broker, or consulting organization.
  • •Strong understanding of commercial property exposures and loss prevention principles, including regulatory compliance.
  • •Working knowledge of OSHA standards and DOT regulations and how they apply to facilities, operations, and transportation-adjacent risks.
  • •Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, defensible client recommendations.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering, fire protection, construction management, risk management, occupational safety, or a related field.
