Job Summary

Develop and lead embedded software engineering efforts for mission-critical communications supporting Mission Systems. Bring expert proficiency in embedded C/C++ and Python across the full software lifecycle, and help shape requirements analysis and system architecture. Own technical proposals and detailed program cost estimates, lead execution for smaller software teams, translate customer requirements into end-to-end solutions, and manage program cost, schedule, and risk using earned value management.

Key Responsibilities

•Demonstrate expert proficiency in embedded C/C++ and Python across all phases of software development.
•Lead technical proposals and program cost estimations during the bid and proposal cycle.
•Lead and coordinate software execution for smaller teams, ensuring technical quality and alignment with cost and schedule.
•Translate customer requirements into end-to-end system solutions that address technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
•Estimate, track, and communicate program cost, schedule, and risk using earned value management and proactively mitigate risks.

Key Requirements

•Experience with embedded development using object-oriented design.
•Experience with development tool sets such as Jira and Subversion/Git/version management.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
•U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
