Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide day-to-day oversight of MEGPL technical accounting supporting the Equatorial Guinea business unit.
  • •Lead coordination for EG Government, Partner, and Alba Plant statutory audits, including support packages, responses, accruals, and reporting accuracy.
  • •Supervise national payroll activities for 400+ employees, ensuring compliance with HR policies, local tax requirements, and labor laws.
  • •Support monthly close, financial reporting, and implementation of accounting standards, procedures, and management requirements.
  • •Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, operational reporting, production sharing contracts, maintain internal controls, and drive process improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field (or foreign equivalent).
  • •10+ years of experience in oil and gas accounting.
  • •Intermediate proficiency with accounting/reporting tools including S/4HANA, Oracle, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • •Experience supporting monthly close, financial reporting, audits, payroll, controls, or statutory compliance activities.
  • •Willing and able to work a rotational 5 weeks on and 5 weeks off schedule in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
