Job Summary

Serve as a Relationship Manager and Financial Advisor for Commercial Banking clients—acquiring new relationships and growing existing ones. Build trusted partnerships as the primary client contact, drive business development by understanding client businesses and industries, and educate clients on KeyBank product capabilities like cash management, derivatives, and equipment finance. Manage credit and portfolio accountability, partnering with Credit Officers, and coordinate cross-functional expertise to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as trusted financial advisor and primary commercial banking contact, serving as the client “expert” for most client matters.
•Drive growth and business development by building a holistic understanding of client/prospect business and industry, analyzing relevant data to identify opportunities.
•Educate clients on KeyBank capabilities and knowledge across key product areas such as cash management, derivatives, and equipment finance.
•Maintain active prospecting and qualification/calling efforts, developing a Center of Influence (COI) referral network.
•Lead/participate in credit processes and take ultimate accountability for portfolio activities/issues, including underwriting, structuring, portfolio management, asset quality reporting, and risk rating models.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 112,000 - 210,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred).
•For Relationship Manager: minimum 5 years of established business development skills, extensive knowledge of bank products, and proven credit/analytical/financial acumen (required).
•For Sr. Relationship Manager: minimum 7 years of Commercial bank direct lending or related experience focused on business development and relationship management (required).
•For Sr. Relationship Manager: minimum 1-year formal commercial credit training and experience from a bank or financial institution (required).
•Demonstrate trusted advisor capability, structured sales approach, and strong risk management acumen (credit, operational, and compliance risks).
