Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on underground coal mining equipment, including conveyors, pumps, diesel equipment, and fixed plant.
  • •Work alongside experienced tradespeople to develop fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
  • •Assist with mechanical installations, change-outs, and rebuilds in an underground environment.
  • •Interpret maintenance instructions, SAP work orders, drawings, and OEM manuals.
  • •Ensure compliance with site safety, statutory, and environmental requirements; proactively identify defects and improvement opportunities and complete maintenance documentation and defect reports.
