Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide, oversee, and facilitate legal services to adidas Japan, including counselling, contract review, drafting, negotiation, risk assessment, and dispute avoidance.
  • •Advise on commercial and operational legal issues including privacy and data protection, promotions, HR, and consumer complaints.
  • •Identify and lead legal projects and coordinate cross-function and/or cross-border efforts.
  • •Manage the Japan Legal team and external counsel, ensuring appropriate supervision and delivery of legal services.
  • •Oversee compliance and corporate secretarial functions, including FairPlay communications and compliance incident response and improvement of the compliance management system.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years’ experience in an international law firm or in-house.
  • •Solid corporate work experience, including commercial contracts and employment law in Japan.
  • •Experience communicating confidently with senior and executive management.
  • •Experience working in complex multi-national environments.
  • •Fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken).
