Job Summary

Lead large, complex US Federal proposals and presentations from pre-RFP positioning through interview stage, partnering with regional and business line teams to drive capture strategies and Go/No-Go decisions. Produce compliant, high-quality proposal content (executive summaries, past performance, management approaches, resumes) and manage schedules, outlines, and color reviews. You’ll also lead a team of proposal staff supporting Federal Civilian and DoD pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with regional and business line teams on priority pursuits, including pre-positioning, RFQs/RFPs, and shortlist interviews.
•Lead must-win pursuits from capture through interview stage, supporting win strategy through workshops and debrief analysis.
•Create compliant proposal materials including annotated outlines, first-draft content, compliance lists, capture/proposal schedules, and key sections (cover letters, executive summaries, past performance, management approaches, resumes/staffing).
•Drive Go/No-Go and capture strategies while ensuring compliance with delegation of authority guidelines.
•Lead and review proposal work products (quality/compliance) and facilitate color reviews (pink/red team), while supporting client feedback and continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 85,000 - 110,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree (preferably Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or related) and 6+ years of proposal experience, ideally in US Federal Civilian and/or DoD.
•Working knowledge of the A/E industry and AECOM’s Federal clients, projects, people, credentials, and competitors.
•Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary or multi-geography proposals valued over $20 million.
•Strong proposal writing/editing skills (grammar and style) and the ability to apply best practices to convey themes and responses to evaluation criteria.
•Working knowledge of desktop publishing, graphics, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and collaborative tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint).
