Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with design teams to support the design development process, provide manufacturability feedback, and generate product data (drawings, BOM, part requirements) for precision mechanical parts.
  • •Apply machining, molding, additive manufacturing, fabrication, special processes, and inspection expertise to support design and scaling for volume production.
  • •Drive supplier quality development throughout product development with design reviews, supplier process development, testing, and qualification for components and sub-assemblies.
  • •Collaborate with development engineering, product quality engineering, sourcing, category management, and program management to ensure predictable supply and manage deviations during development.
  • •Lead supplier qualification activities (PPAP, FAIR, audits, inspection development) and establish measurement systems for critical characteristics.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy or similar technical field.
  • •Experience with producing precision mechanical parts for aerospace or defense.
  • •Experience in scaling supplier capabilities and quality from prototype to high-rate production; experience with source inspection is a plus.
  • •AS9100/ ISO 9001-based Quality Management System requirements; AS9100 Lead/Internal Auditor Certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • •Experience with First Article Inspection to AS9102 and GD&T, FMEA, APQP, PPAP elements (MSA) and RCCA/MRB processes.
