Key Responsibilities

  • •Create, modify, test, and deploy control and power management software for PLCs, data concentrators, protection relays, generator controllers, and HMI systems for automatic power transfer.
  • •Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation, including selecting components and creating bill of materials.
  • •Prepare customer submittals, Sequence of Operation (SOO), and test procedures; assist with factory testing and field start-ups.
  • •Provide sketches/mark-ups and direction to electrical designers for project drawings.
  • •Troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely, mentor less experienced engineers, and manage project financials, schedules, and efficiency.

Salary: USD 97,000 - 143,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 7 years of power distribution controls experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 5 years, or at least 10 years of power distribution controls experience.
  • •Current, unrestricted driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record; subject to an MVR check upon hire.
  • •Preferred: PE License.
  • •Knowledge of power monitoring and control systems and protocols including Modbus, DNP3, and IEC-61850.
  • •Knowledge of best engineering practices for automation and power management systems, including PLC programming, plus protection relays-based monitoring/control and troubleshooting/test/repair techniques.
