Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement a telecom carrier engagement strategy to deepen existing relationships and expand to new partners across the US, North America, and internationally.
  • •Negotiate carrier agreements that enable network access and sufficient data connectivity, aligning with customer needs and building sustainable partnerships.
  • •Advocate for customers’ in-flight data connectivity needs by creating simple connectivity options from initial drone setup.
  • •Build business models for in-flight data access and monitor usage and costs to validate those models.
  • •Set telecom and regulatory certification priorities and build field relationships to support major events and customer/incident mission success.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 230,000 - 285,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •A track record translating customer needs into priorities and driving implementation across complex projects and partner relationships.
  • •Ability to break down complex, multi-stakeholder processes (technical device certification or business contract negotiation) into clear steps and communicate progress.
  • •Strong analytical skills to develop plans, communicate them across Skydio and partner organizations, and manage overlapping deadlines.
  • •Technical background via engineering or technical degree (e.g., computer science, telecommunications, scientific field) and/or experience managing complex technical requirements.
  • •Experience or interest in wireless communications and telecommunications, including familiarity with network operations and concepts like bit rates, quality of service, and large-scale networks.
