Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native data platforms and in-house business-critical data services.
  • •Develop and maintain reliable, automated data pipelines for analytics and business operations.
  • •Own development, test, and production environments for the Japan and Korea data platform.
  • •Lead CI/CD, source control, configuration management, and deployments for data services.
  • •Serve as functional owner of data products, ensuring data quality and driving root-cause investigation for data issues.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of data engineering experience, with strong ownership of backend data platforms and pipelines.
  • •Strong ANSI SQL skills (DDL, DML, DCL) and ability to model data and translate business requirements into analytics-ready datasets.
  • •Hands-on experience with cloud-based data services such as Glue, Athena, and AWS EMR.
  • •Experience with big-data frameworks including Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Presto, HBase, or Phoenix.
  • •Business-level English and conversational-or-above Japanese, with effective communication in both languages.
