Lead hands-on backend data platform engineering and functional ownership of in-house data products for Japan and Korea. •Design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native data platforms and in-house business-critical data services.
•Develop and maintain reliable, automated data pipelines for analytics and business operations.
•Own development, test, and production environments for the Japan and Korea data platform.
•Lead CI/CD, source control, configuration management, and deployments for data services.
•Serve as functional owner of data products, ensuring data quality and driving root-cause investigation for data issues.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of data engineering experience, with strong ownership of backend data platforms and pipelines.
•Strong ANSI SQL skills (DDL, DML, DCL) and ability to model data and translate business requirements into analytics-ready datasets.
•Hands-on experience with cloud-based data services such as Glue, Athena, and AWS EMR.
•Experience with big-data frameworks including Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Presto, HBase, or Phoenix.
•Business-level English and conversational-or-above Japanese, with effective communication in both languages.
