Job Summary

Lead a high-performing wildlife team across the Prairies & North region, delivering innovative, science-based ecological solutions for infrastructure, mining, energy, and environmental projects. Provide both people leadership and technical expertise, drive client relationships, and contribute to strategy, growth, and financial performance from key Canadian hubs.

Location: Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Yukon

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the wildlife team, including prioritization, workload organization, and meeting project targets.
•Lead people practices: mentorship, career development, performance management, and HR activities (reviews, hiring, onboarding/offboarding).
•Partner with the Director to drive financial performance, monitor results, and implement improvements.
•Communicate and uphold company policies, fostering collaboration across teams and WSP Business Lines while reinforcing Guiding Principles and Vision.
•Create a safe, positive environment with a strong commitment to health and safety.

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree in Biology, Ecology, or related discipline.
•Minimum 8+ years of relevant consulting experience.
•Demonstrated success managing teams and delivering complex wildlife or ecological projects.
•Strong knowledge of wildlife regulations, permitting processes, and environmental assessment frameworks in Western and Northern Canada.
•Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development.
