Job Summary

Install AV and low-voltage cabling for AVI-SPL contracted projects, including cable pulls/terminations, rack fabrication and wiring, and system equipment setup. Lead and direct installation crews on less complex jobs while coordinating with the Project Manager to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction goals. Interpret system schematics and blueprints, test point-to-point cabling, manage jobsite tools and equipment, and communicate daily status while coordinating with other trades across customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks for contracted projects including cable pulls/terminations, system equipment setup, rack fabrication and wiring, and equipment layout/metal fabrication.
•Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects, coordinating and reporting progress to the Project Manager.
•Read and interpret system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints, using hand and power tools for AV installation tasks.
•Test point-to-point cabling and verify functionality of systems; troubleshoot audiovisual equipment and systems as needed.
•Act as a customer liaison on site, direct on-site change requests to the Project Manager, coordinate with other trades, and travel to job sites as required.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 2-4 years of audiovisual installation experience.
•Intermediate proficiency installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) and wiring methods like conduit runs and cable trays.
•Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across audiovisual equipment and systems.
•Intermediate understanding of network infrastructure as it integrates with AV systems (e.g., IP-based systems, streaming, cloud-based services).
•Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet AVI-SPL driving privileges; minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
