Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the day-to-day further processing QA department by understanding equipment capabilities, establishing procedures, and ensuring process stability and food-safe output.
  • •Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize performance, managing quality and food safety checks and products placed on hold.
  • •Ensure accurate daily reporting and recordkeeping for departmental and regulatory-related items (e.g., attendance/staffing and NR reporting).
  • •Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities and lead implementation by monitoring improvement metrics and addressing unfavorable trends.
  • •Partner with Operations for a food safe and sanitary environment; mentor, coach, and train QA staff, administer performance improvement/disciplines, and follow safety initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors’ degree in a Science or Agricultural related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in prepared foods manufacturing; 3 years in food manufacturing or the poultry industry preferred.
  • •At least 1 year of leadership experience (timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, conflict resolution); 3 years preferred.
  • •Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written); ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred.
