Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed internet, video, and voice networks, including wiring and equipment.
  • •Perform maintenance and repair on outside plant facilities within assigned geographic service areas.
  • •Climb poles and dig up/bury cable; locate buried telephone cables and work in manholes or controlled environmental vaults (CEV).
  • •Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations during field work.
  • •Support sales and marketing activities by directing customer-facing work and sales referrals.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher.
  • •Ability to distinguish colors on facilities and handle 28 ft extension ladders and manhole covers.
  • •Successful completion of service tech boot camp training and installation/repair for POTS/DSL, cable splicing/maintenance, basic transmissions, air pressure, and HSI installations.
  • •Basic computer skills including MS Office applications.
  • •Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
