Job Summary

Supervise nonferrous (NF) receiving and processing operations to ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance while maximizing processing efficiency, product shipping performance, and profitability. Coordinate equipment, personnel, and workflow planning across production and shipping; manage inventory and quality control for customer specifications; and support budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements. Communicate with internal teams and the buying group to sustain material procurement and meet order requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure Environmental, Health & Safety compliance, including safe work practices, training, and OSH A and regulatory guideline adherence.
•Direct, evaluate, schedule, and coordinate equipment and personnel to support daily nonferrous processing and loading activities.
•Create and maintain layout plans for NF processing and shipping spaces to achieve proper workflow and manage work-in-progress and finished goods storage.
•Oversee inventory and quality control for incoming nonferrous material, including time & weight analysis, scale ticket accuracy, and WIP inventory control.
•Support budgeting and forecasting through monthly inventory audits and partnerships with commercial operations to manage inventory carrying costs and strategic buying programs.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of metal recycling industry experience.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to drive an automobile.
•Thorough knowledge of NF materials grading and strong judgment with good interpersonal communication skills.
•Ability to negotiate and demonstrate good organizational skills.
•Past supervisory experience is a plus.
