Job Summary

Lead water-sector civil engineering projects within the Regulated Water Asset Design team, supporting wastewater and water treatment, sewerage, and water network schemes. Own delivery across health & safety, technical quality, schedule, and budget, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and build client relationships to ensure outcomes and satisfaction. Help shape new services and digital products, support AMP8 delivery, and contribute to Future Ready and Net Zero initiatives while mentoring engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Take ownership of project delivery, including health & safety, technical quality, schedule, and budget.
•Manage multi-disciplinary teams and line manage graduate engineers and degree apprentices.
•Shape service delivery and identify opportunities to deliver complementary services within WSP UK and overseas.
•Build client relationships to ensure project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
•Contribute to innovative approaches, bid preparation, and the Future Ready and Net Zero programmes while supporting team recruitment and growth.

Key Requirements

•A degree in Civil Engineering.
•Chartered status, or significant progression towards membership of the ICE or CIWEM.
•Experience managing engineering design teams across civil engineering and supporting disciplines.
•Experience delivering projects against an identified budget and schedule.
•Experience mentoring or coaching junior civil engineering staff; client-facing experience and strong communication skills.
