Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage period-end close activities, including accounting entries and balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • •Ensure IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 compliance across statutory, management, and regulatory reporting.
  • •Support Bermuda regulatory reporting, including BMA Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) and BSCR frameworks.
  • •Apply appropriate accounting treatments for proportional and non-proportional reinsurance treaties.
  • •Partner with internal and external audit teams and strengthen accounting processes, controls, and reporting automation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CA/CPA/ACCA/ICAEW or equivalent preferred.
  • •Proven insurance accounting experience in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.
  • •Hands-on IFRS knowledge with IFRS 17 experience and working knowledge of IFRS 9.
  • •Bermuda/reinsurance reporting knowledge including BMA EBS, BSCR, and proportional/non-proportional treaty accounting.
  • •Ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
