Build and enhance Salesforce’s network-level security platform on public clouds, designing highly available distributed systems and microservices. Key Responsibilities

•Architect and implement distributed systems to deliver network-level security controls across public and private clouds, including network policy management, ACL enforcement, and DDoS/network protection for containers.
•Develop software solutions and microservices supporting network security platforms in public clouds.
•Research and implement new network security solutions for intra- and cross-datacenter network flows.
•Advance and operate security scanning platforms using a full DevOps model.
•Participate in Agile development practices and drive engineering excellence through code reviews and mentoring junior team members.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years developing SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS software.
•3+ years working in a high-availability 24/7 environment (cloud platforms a plus).
•Hands-on network security experience including segmentation, ACLs, DPI, and DDoS protection; familiarity with iptables, IPsec, VPN, and IDS.
•Networking expertise with VM/container network stacks and network control planes/agents (e.g., OpenStack Neutron, Cilium, Calico, OVN) plus OSI/network traffic debugging and core protocols.
•Proficiency in OOP and multi-threaded programming in at least one of Golang, Java, C++, or Python; experience with large-scale PaaS/IaaS systems and secure software design fundamentals.
