Key Responsibilities

•Involved in the design, analysis, and construction oversight of tailings dams, embankments, and associated infrastructure.
•Conduct geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, seepage, liquefaction, and settlement evaluations.
•Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for tailings facilities, addressing challenges such as seepage, slope stability, liquefaction, and water management.
•Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
•Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 110,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
•6+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on tailings dam design and management.
•Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada or eligibility to obtain licensure within 3 months.
•Proven experience serving as a Deputy Engineer of Record (Deputy EOR) for at least 2 tailings dams.
•Proficient in the application of engineering design software to embankments and tailings dams.
