Job Summary

Maintain environmental programs, policies, procedures, and documentation for an oil refinery facility. Stay current on environmental regulations, perform hazardous waste determinations, and ensure compliance with RCRA and stormwater/spill response plans (SWPP, SPCC, FRP). Collect and analyze environmental data, perform QA/QC, prepare statistical models, support audits, and provide environmental guidance to refinery operations while overseeing contractor work and on-call response.

Key Responsibilities

•Stay current with applicable environmental regulations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
•Perform hazardous waste determinations and provide guidance to ensure compliance with RCRA regulations.
•Determine data collection methods, compile data, perform detailed calculations, and conduct QA/QC on scientific reports.
•Analyze environmental data to assess environmental conditions, establish standards, and develop approaches to control identified environmental impacts.
•Coordinate and/or support environmental analysis projects and participate in audits and inspections with agencies.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•2+ years of environmental work experience with knowledge of environmental regulations, including Clean Water Act, TSCA, and Clean Air Act.
•Ability to perform hazardous waste determinations and review reports to ensure RCRA compliance.
•Proficiency with environmental data collection, calculations, and QA/QC on scientific reports.
•Demonstrated ability to support environmental projects and evaluate environmental conditions.
