Job Summary

Software Engineer (All Levels) joining Forma Design Apps to help redefine architectural and transportation design tools. You’ll balance user insights with technical complexity, owning features from discovery to delivery in a web-native, cloud-enabled stack. Work on 3D browser graphics, real-time geometry, and integration with Autodesk desktop apps, using TypeScript, React/Preact, and Three.js.

Key Responsibilities

•Own features end-to-end from discovery to delivery for Forma Design Apps, balancing user insights with technical complexity
•Develop smart, generative design tools that balance automated generation with user control
•Implement delightful and performant 3D graphics in the browser using WebGL/WebGPU and custom shaders
•Solve spatial problems in 2D and 3D with efficient geometry algorithms to provide real-time feedback at 60 fps
•Understand Autodesk’s design software portfolio and ensure web apps fit seamlessly with desktop apps

Key Requirements

•Proficiency with TypeScript, React/Preact and Three.js for frontend development
•Experience building browser-based 3D graphics and UX for complex design tools
•Strong knowledge of WebGL/WebGPU techniques and shader programming
•Ability to solve 2D/3D geometry problems with real-time feedback in the browser
•Experience integrating web-native apps with desktop applications (e.g., Autodesk ecosystem) and cloud backends (e.g., s3 or DynamoDB)
