Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise directional drilling (DD) on-site, including projecting well paths to predetermined target coordinates.
  • •Assist in BHA selection and ensure BHA components are assembled as planned (correct make-up torque, doping, and handling).
  • •Perform and support survey calculations and well path projections using DD computer software for client guidance.
  • •Update well profile plots and provide accurate directional survey data; understand and meet client surveying procedures.
  • •Complete daily DD reports, BHA performance reports, service tickets, and required paperwork; coordinate equipment inspection and records with MWD engineering.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 2 years of field experience in Directional Drilling, L/MWD, or SDL.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Proficiency with directional drilling principles, including BHA selection and DD performance aspects.
  • •Ability to use DD computer software for survey calculations and well path projections.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline is preferred.
