Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement the school’s careers and university guidance policy and program to support students’ post-secondary education and career aspirations.
  • •Guide students on career aspirations, including planning subject choices and extracurricular activities, and aligning student portfolios.
  • •Support post-secondary transitions by assisting with university applications, career planning, and preparation for life beyond school (including recommendation letters and reviewing personal statements).
  • •Engage students and parents throughout the guidance process, organize CU guidance events, and maintain a calendar of key dates.
  • •Develop relationships with local and international post-secondary institutions and alumni, and provide tailored support for gifted/talented and students with additional learning needs.

Key Requirements

  • •At least a QFE 7 (Bachelor’s Degree) in any subject and meeting CPD requirements OR being employed as a former/current teacher/educator.
  • •Minimum 2 years experience in school counselling or other counselling experience.
  • •Experience of the American curriculum and global university network.
  • •Appropriate license to carry out student counselling.
  • •Preference for bilingual candidates (Arabic/English).
