Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical support and leadership for the design development and construction oversight of HVAC and related mechanical systems.
  • •Serve as lead design and project management owner for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, central energy plants, medical gas systems, sustainability design, and building automation systems.
  • •Collect and analyze project data from site, surveys, blueprints/schematics, technical drawings, and computer-generated reports to support project development and design.
  • •Develop construction and installation plans, specifications, and construction safety and phasing plans, coordinating with owners and other disciplines.
  • •Lead larger-scale mechanical projects, including reviewing/overseeing contributor work, tracking budgets and performance, and supervising subcontractors, contract work, and employees.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • •7-10 years of relevant post-education experience in mechanical engineering with mechanical design experience.
  • •Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (multi-state preferred).
  • •Strong proficiency in building and infrastructure mechanical design, including permitting and construction-related issues.
  • •Experience applying mechanical engineering and construction laws, codes, regulations, and record-keeping requirements, plus inspection/investigation experience on facilities and systems.
