Key Responsibilities

  • •Stand up and grow the SOC: operating model, coverage structure, runbooks, escalation paths, and hiring/career development for a globally distributed team
  • •Own detection strategy and coverage posture across product and enterprise estates, mapping coverage against MITRE ATT&CK and Motive’s threat model
  • •Lead 24/7 incident response, serving as incident commander for significant incidents and communicating with executives during events
  • •Own security telemetry and analytics platform responsibilities (collection, normalization, enrichment, retention/cost) and instrument KPIs like MTTD/MTTR, precision, and automation rate
  • •Establish threat hunting and intelligence capabilities and own EDR plus runtime/workload protection; architect an AI-first SOC operating model for triage and investigation automation

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in security operations, incident response, detection engineering, or threat intelligence, with 3+ years leading teams
  • •Hands-on experience personally writing detections, running investigations, and leading incidents as commander (recently)
  • •Experience building or substantially rebuilding a SOC function rather than only operating in one
  • •Ability to build credibility across both estates: production/cloud security monitoring and corporate/enterprise security operations
  • •Deep experience with modern detection/response tooling (SIEM, EDR, SOAR/automation) and cloud-native telemetry, plus practical detection engineering skills
