Job Summary

Verify and validate mechanical or electrical technical data packages (TDPs) to ensure design producibility, data integrity, and synchronization between drawings and database models. Use CAD-based tools and electrical/modeled engineering workflows to perform comprehensive reviews of 2D drawings and model-based representations in accordance with ASME Y14.41 and MIL-STD-31000. Support program-required software document reviews and collaborate across engineering disciplines to meet design and drafting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform design verification and validation of mechanical 2D drawings and/or model-based Design TDPs, ensuring producibility, data integrity, quality, and consistency.
•Validate form, fit, and function against program-unique requirements and applicable company/industry specifications and standards.
•Authenticate synchronization between design representation (drawings) and design database models used to derive them.
•For electrical track: perform formal verification and validation of electrical 2D TDPs, including circuit card assembly and schematic representations plus electronic Bills of Material (eBOMs).
•Ensure verification/validation follows ASME Y14.41 and MIL-STD-31000, and (with training) may verify the opposing TDP type.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a Bachelor’s/STEM (or advanced degree) with 5+ years (or 3+ years with an advanced degree), or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
•Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
•5+ years of experience designing, drafting, and/or verifying/validating detailed Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
•Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) design/drafting.
•Mechanical checker: experience with PTC Creo Suite/Creo-ProE/SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Raster/Canvas/GTXImage/Myriad; or Electrical checker: experience with Electrical software such as Mentor Boardstation or EXPEDITION-DxDESIGNER (or related).
