Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide and coordinate patient care, including educating patients and the public about health conditions and offering advice and emotional support.
  • •Assess patients and re-assess, collecting pertinent data to understand and analyze patient needs and nursing diagnoses.
  • •Create and evaluate patient care plans with the interprofessional team in collaboration with the patient and bystanders.
  • •Record vital signs, recognize abnormalities, and escalate issues; administer medications and monitor for side effects and reactions.
  • •Perform essential life support (e.g., BLS, PALS, ACLS, neonatal resuscitation as applicable), support procedures, provide wound care, and facilitate safe admission, transfer, and discharge.

Key Requirements

  • •Have an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse with the relevant regulatory health authority.
  • •Manage their own professional re-licensure.
  • •Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
  • •Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).
  • •Be willing to work across departments when necessary.
