Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide general project support and administration to the Waterfront Service Delivery team, including reviewing maintenance instructions for completeness and sufficiency.
  • •Support ship maintenance work period planning and oversee TSN/subcontractor maintenance activities to required quality in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
  • •Compile work item closure reports for completeness and accuracy, enter closures into the designated project tool, and generate documentation and reports in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • •Ensure subcontracted providers have necessary paperwork and materials; support tracking and resolution of corrective maintenance/operation deficiencies.
  • •Maintain service provider records, ensure Health and Safety compliance, update DRMIS with corrective and preventive maintenance records, and assist with onsite worker access management.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 2-year technical program diploma from a recognized technical institute or University Degree, or technician certification from a recognized provincial licensing body in a relevant marine field.
  • •Certification as a technician by a recognized provincial licensing body, or certified as Navy QL 6 and above for technical trades of the RCN.
  • •Experience interfacing between internal and external stakeholders, with procurement, project management, or operations experience highly desirable.
  • •Minimum two years of experience working within the Military or an industrial contract/project (desirable), with knowledge of DRMIS or comparable document management systems advantageous.
  • •Experience with SAP or comparable ERP/asset management software and ship-refit/repair activities are advantageous.
