Job Summary

Build and evolve the backend systems for TikTok LIVE Foundation Governance Engineering, enabling human- and machine-based moderation. Partner with product, data science, UI, operations, and Trust & Safety teams to iterate on data-driven ideas, improve system design for reliability and performance, and deliver end-to-end solutions for penalty center and permission governance tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, UI designers, and engineers to iterate on data-driven product ideas.
•Improve system design and architecture to ensure reliability, performance, and extensibility.
•Develop backend solutions and contribute to end-to-end systems for TikTok LIVE governance.
•Work with teams across human-based and machine-based moderation, including penalty center and permission governance tools.
•Contribute to team growth by learning, taking on challenges, and sharing expertise and perspectives.

Key Requirements

•Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
•Proficient in at least one coding language, including Go, Java, Python, or C++.
•Good grasp of software engineering for building scalable systems.
•BA/BS in Computer Science or a related major.
•Understanding of concurrency, databases, and message queues; experience with content moderation systems is preferred.
