Job Summary

Support day-to-day operations at a Texas Materials aggregates/asphalt/concrete site by working safely in a team environment. Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA requirements, take direction from managers on daily project tasks, and keep the plant area clean. Operate and maintain vehicles, machinery, and equipment, perform routine upkeep, and lift/handle materials and tools while maintaining required safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure a safe work environment by following safety policies and using appropriate tools and equipment.
•Properly follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
•Follow manager directions for daily tasks and report problems to your manager.
•Clean up around the plant and surrounding area and perform other duties as assigned.
•Operate and maintain vehicles, machinery, and equipment; lift and carry materials and maintain tools and your work area.

Key Requirements

•Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
•Pass a pre-employment “Fit for Work” physical.
•Provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
•Be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying (50 lbs to the waist and carrying 100 feet), working at heights, climbing/stooping/bending, and walking on rough terrain.
•Minimum high school diploma or GED required; previous related construction experience is preferred.
