Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate development, including concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost/clean sheet models, and joint statements of work.
  • •Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing, including BOM risk assessment and alternate sourcing.
  • •Manage CAPEX through NPI and perform value-stream mapping to improve supply network lead time and flexibility.
  • •Lead cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve, reduce complexity via commonality optimization, and manage ad-hoc cost issues (e.g., tariffs, import/export costs, cost inflation).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field.
  • •5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
  • •Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • •Ability to relocate and work onsite in Huntsville, AL if not already local.
