Key Responsibilities

  • •Marshal and administer assets in complex estates and taxable trusts, ensuring fiduciary responsibilities are fulfilled through administration and settlement.
  • •Decide substantive estate matters including tax elections, tax reserves, disposition/valuation/collection of assets, cash management, liabilities resolution, audits, and litigation matters.
  • •Administer accounts with sophisticated estate plans and unusual assets, including closely held stock, investment concentrations, real estate holdings, and qualified plan or deferred compensation arrangements.
  • •Enable preparation of estate, gift, generation-skipping, fiduciary, and personal income tax returns by locating and marshalling assets, arranging valuations, quantifying expenses, and securing/reviewing records.
  • •Coordinate with internal tax partners, co-fiduciaries, and outside counsel to evaluate tax elections, determine tax reporting strategies, manage account requirements during settlement, and oversee required court documents.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced knowledge of estate planning and tax laws, including trusts, fiduciary income, investments, real estate, accounting, and current issues affecting estate administration.
  • •Strong judgment and problem-solving skills applied to complex and sensitive estate matters.
  • •Minimum of 8 years of experience in estate administration or personal trust, with broad exposure to legal, tax, investment, and operational elements required.
