Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop single-player and cooperative levels based on game design documents, project leadership direction, and peer collaboration, iterating through feedback and deadlines.
  • •Prototype, iterate, and polish moment-to-moment gameplay with narrative, enemy, art, and other disciplines to deliver quality combat and mission experiences.
  • •Own the vision of levels and work with the Lead Level Designer and Creative Director to pitch, build, polish, and ship.
  • •Collaborate across departments to ensure levels ship on time at a high standard of quality and remain fun and memorable to players.
  • •Mentor junior level designers by modeling positive tone and work ethic, and providing/receiving effective feedback during iteration.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record shipping large level environments, ideally with videos/screenshots and documentation of design and iteration process.
  • •Strong understanding of modern level design practices (layout, pacing, and technical implementation) with a focus on creating fun player experiences.
  • •Ability to collaborate closely with art teams and contribute to aesthetics; prior art-role experience is a plus.
  • •Excellent documentation, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with self-motivation toward project goals.
  • •Have shipped a AAA title, preferably first-person shooters and with Unreal experience.
