Job Summary

Develop next-generation electro-optical silicon photonics integrated circuits for Starlink deployment across space and ground. You’ll design, simulate, and model electro-optical and RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits, derive subsystem specifications, perform IC floorplanning and layout, and evaluate optical/electrical building blocks for high-speed optical links. Collaborate with system architects, DSP, and ASIC engineers, support automated test lab equipment, and partner with manufacturing on production testing and qualification.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, simulate, and model electro-optical building blocks for a silicon photonics solution.
•Design, simulate, and model RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems.
•Derive specifications for photonics IC/electrical IC subsystems and circuits.
•Develop analog/mixed-signal/RF/microwave circuits in SiGe or CMOS processes, including IC floorplanning and layout.
•Evaluate, characterize, and measure electrical and optical building blocks for high-speed optical link solutions, supporting test and manufacturing activities.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of photonics or electro-optical integrated circuit design experience.
•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
•Experience using simulation tools such as Spectre, ADS, HFSS or Momentum, Ansys Lumerical, or COMSOL.
•Photonics design experience analyzing and simulating optical building blocks such as MZM and microring modulators, Ge photo diodes, dWDM filters, waveguides, couplers, dividers, and polarization management circuitry.
•Electrical circuit design experience analyzing and simulating linear and non-linear circuits such as high bandwidth modulator drivers, TIAs, CTLEs, filters, low-noise and power amplifiers.
