Job Summary

Server platform design and integration engineer responsible for concept-to-end-of-life support of server systems. Lead design reviews, support bring-up and validation, and collaborate with customers and ODMs to ensure on-time, high-quality platform delivery. Requires strong SI/PI, schematic/layout review, and hands-on debugging with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with MDC/OEM/ODM partners to enable successful deployment of AMD server platforms by augmenting customer solutions with technical collateral including whitepaper, application note, user guide on customization and tuning, reference design materials, and debugging/profiling tools
•Perform design reviews including concept, block-level, schematic, layout for customer platforms and/or reference platforms
•Support bring-up, validation and debug of platform related issues
•Engage directly on key technical topics, issues, architecture discussions, design optimizations with customers and internal teams and steer multi-party discussion to convergence
•Analytic ability to address technical issues and generate creative solutions

Key Requirements

•3+ years of server/client SOC or system development experience
•Board design fundamentals pertaining to mixed signal, high speed board design, and power design
•Hands-on with debugging, triage, and validation procedures for all interfaces and subsystems of a platform
•Knowledge of server system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy
•Bachelor's and/or higher degree in EE/CS or related majors
