Job Summary

Produce fill formula for the packaging operation safely and to required quality standards. Convert raw materials into finished product by handling bulk receiving, cleaning (in place and out of place), process monitoring, spill response cleanup, water sampling, and inventory and waste treatment. Maintain strong control of machine parameters and equipment cleanliness, using prescribed methods and formulas while working effectively in a self-managed team.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce fill formula for the packaging operation in a safe and quality manner.
•Convert raw materials into finished product, including bulk receiving and cleaning (in place and out of place).
•Monitor machine and process parameters, maintaining working knowledge of equipment (pipelines, connections, valves, storage).
•Respond to spills and complete related cleanup activities, including water sampling, inventory, and waste treatment.
•Maintain cleanliness of the process equipment area, including tanks, transfer lines, and other equipment using required cleaning agents.

Key Requirements

•Prior experience in a chemical mixing role is strongly preferred.
•Follow detailed written methods, instructions, and formulas for mixing, blending, and compounding ingredients in precise amounts.
•Monitor process conditions and equipment changes (e.g., temperature, pressure, visual appearance) to detect potential process failure.
•Prepare and make ready all materials for manufacturing and distinguish between raw materials by labels and physical properties.
•Use computer literacy skills for email, automated batching, inventory systems, and payroll, and operate a lift truck to move/store raw materials.
