Key Responsibilities

  • •Administer and coordinate FIU legal risk management activities across multiple legal areas such as subpoenas, litigation support, contracts, regulatory matters, corporate governance, and complex lending/transaction work.
  • •Resolve legal problems or transactions by applying law, regulations, policies, and guidelines with independent judgment.
  • •Investigate and analyze moderately complex transactions or cases by organizing, reviewing, and interpreting large volumes of detailed information.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree (or equivalent education/training) or completion of an ABA-approved paralegal training program, or State Bar-approved paralegal certification, or equivalent working knowledge and experience.
  • •Five years of experience working on moderately complex legal matters in a law firm or corporate legal department (or equivalent).
  • •Strong analytical thinking to identify issues, establish facts, analyze moderately complex information, and develop substantiated conclusions with minimal supervision.
  • •Proficiency in legal research and writing, including demonstrated skill with online legal research.
  • •Strong communication, leadership, relationship management, and organizational/project management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
