Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute global transportation, distribution, and logistics strategy to improve reliability, service performance, operational reliability, and freight cost control.
  • •Lead logistics network optimization, including transportation strategy, distribution network design, inventory flow improvements, and supply chain risk mitigation.
  • •Manage daily freight and distribution operations, including escalation for transportation disruptions, customs delays, capacity constraints, and customer-critical delivery issues.
  • •Own carrier management and sourcing activities, including freight budget forecasting, carrier performance/KPI tracking, spot rate negotiations, and contract strategy.
  • •Ensure logistics compliance by auditing transportation, customs, and export documentation and establishing governance for risk management, business continuity, and supplier performance.

Key Requirements

  • •Associates degree with 7 years of managerial, supervisory, or Carpenter experience required, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in a similar managerial/supervisory or Carpenter experience (preferred).
  • •Prior work experience in logistics/supply chain management/freight forwarding is required.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • •Working knowledge of customs process and export regulations, including Incoterms and export cargo documentation requirements.
  • •Working knowledge of DOT regulations and domestic processes and regulations.
